Love the whale weathervane, but it does not point the wind direction correctly. We have another of the Good Directions weathervanes (a Pig) that is good at wind direction. The whale, however, spends a lot of time swaying back and forth as if it is indecisive. Am thinking of tying a tail on it's tail (like a kite) to see if the extra drag will assist the whale in making a decision...First shipment got lost but they replaced it quickly and was totally worth the wait. This looks awesome on our waterfront property and I would absolutely purchase again.Well crafted. Very substantial. I purchased this as a gift. He had wanted one for a long time and was very happy.Arrived as advertised with the tarnished copper finish Verde gray. Within 5 weeks you can see how fast it just turned into a rusty mess. I am going to have to paint it with some kind of outdoor paint. What a waste of $300.00It was fun moving smoothly with light wind, but within a few weeks when strong wind came, "401AL Adjustable Roof Mount" broke in the base and the weathervane was blown away. I bought another "401AL Adjustable Roof Mount" and re-installed in the roof, but the weathervane was not move because the pipe of the weathervane was bent, I tried to fix it several times, with no success. So I strongly recommend you to remove the weathervane when strong wind come.I absolutely love this weather vane! It is very charming, and a perfect size for the top of our greenhouse. We have received many compliments from neighbors and passersby.The whale now swims in a sea of blue skies in Maui, Hawaii. The produce is well made. We live at the top of a gulch that gets high winds constantly. It stands up to the wind and daily rains well!MahaloWhile cute, after ordering twice arrived both times damaged. Very disappointed.
