Installed my hog on a large metal building where my RV and boat are stored. If I am outside when someone passes by they always stop to talk about the weather vane. It is a real eye catcher 20 feet high that you just can't mis. Install was easy after getting on the roof,remember, it's 20 feet off the ground. I used a compass to set directional letters which most find handy since the street runs a funny direction. Be sure you remove your phone and personal vap devices from pocket so as not to disturb the compass with magnetic fields to avoid a second trip on the roof!! Also, be careful to get the mast vertical. Use a level or something to be sure. If not plumb, the pig will tend to point "uphill" and not show true direction of wind. I am glad to own this weather vane and would buy another.
