This unit is actually two seperate cameras in the same housing. This makes it more compact, and can be installed using less space than two cameras and their mounting boxes would take up. I had one such location, and this unit is working well for that use. The 4-megapixel, (1/2.7") format gives great daylight performance, but only acceptable performance in low-light areas. The supplemental infrared LEDs help at night, so it works OK for my use. The setup GUI requires using an Internet Explorer browser in Windows OS, or the newer Microsoft Edge running in "IE Mode" to access and change the functions of the camera. I have no Microsoft PCs available since I use Macintosh at home. I was able to get by this by setting up a "Virtual Machine" to run Windows on my Mac. It's not a straightforward process to do this, so if you're not a computer person I recommend getting a low end Windows laptop if you plan on messing with these type of cameras. Other cameras being made now seem to support all standard web browsers, maybe the camera manufacturers are finally updating their microprocessors in the units and making this the new standard. But cameras that use previous CPUs seem to be stuck on the Internet Explorer platform for their GUI operations.
